Rubber conveyor belts with metal breaker are a type of belt specially designed to withstand the impact of sharp and bulky materials. These rubber belts are also known as impact and tear resistant conveyor belts.
The special features of these conveyors are given by the metal breaker insert that helps the housing and the entire conveyor belt to withstand tearing.
Conveyor belts with metal breaker are used for transporting unsorted raw materials, in extreme operating conditions.
The rubber faces are manufactured according to DIN 22102/1-2014 or according to customer’s specifications.
Field of operation
Sharp-edged goods and the impact of goods under unfavourable conditions may cause expensive longitudinal rips and breakt hroughs in the belt. In order to avoid this, steel breaker belts featuring a cutting protection layer on top of the textile carcass.
They are often used in the following areas:
- Iron and steel industry
- Foundries
- Stone quarries
- Cement plants
General characteristics of the conveyor belt
- They can be executed in the following structures: 250/2; 315/2; 400/3; 500/3; 500/4; 630/4; 800/4; 800/5; 1000/4; 1000/5; 1250/5 (where the first value indicates the tensile strength in N/mm and the second indicates the number of blades in the belt);
- The strips can be made and delivered in standardized widths up to a maximum of 1600 mm.
- Execution lengths are between 50 – 150 m;
Types of belt edges
- ONLY COVERED EDGES – are recommended for belts up to 10 mm and dry or low humidity working environments.
